    The Ship recycling zone was established by a government decree in 1976.

    It is located on the coast of Aegean Sea, northwest of Izmir.

    The facility is on 35 000 m2 of land with a 100 m long shoreline. 5 000m2 of this land is allocated for office buildings, warehouses, accommodation facilities, display spaces for various ship parts and equipments, and 2000 m2 green area.

    The facility has "Business Certificate" and "the opening license of the first class non sanitary business".
